Eggs- No worries chickens don’t hold qualms about eating eggs. Eggs contain 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of fat.
Crickets- Contain 21% protein and 6% fat. Crickets also contain a good amount of calcium. Adult crickets contain higher nutritional value.
Mealworms- This contains 53% protein and 28% fat when dried and 20% protein and 12-13% fat when alive. Mealworms also contain omega-3 fatty acids.
Black soldier Fly Larvae- This contains 56% protein and 35% fat when dried & 17% protein and 14% fat when alive.
Superworms- Similar to mealworms but twice the size. They have a 20% protein level and a 18% fat level.

Squash & Pumpkin- These roughly contains 9% protein and 3% fat. This treat is also a rich source of vitamin A & C, along with potassium.
Scratch Grains/Cracked Corn- This encompasses wheat, barley, corn, oats, sunflower seeds, and millet. With this variety, we can estimate that there is 7.5% protein and 2.5% fat.
Flock Block- This contains 9% protein and 2.5% fat. Leaving behind plenty of room for carbohydrates.
Fruits or Vegetables- Both of these options are high in vitamins and carbohydrates. With this, it is important that these treats are fed in moderation. As too much of this treat can lead to upsetting you chick and their diet.
Oatmeal- This entails plain and unsweetened oats. Oatmeal that encompasses water carries 14% protein, 15% fat, and 71% carbs. Other nutrients include magnesium, selenium, iron, and zinc.
